On October 12th and 13th, 2019, St. Nicholas celebrated their Centennial. We were blessed to have with us, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon, and our Archbishop Melchisedek for this joyous event. It was a beautiful time of reflection of the parish's past as well as optimism for the future of St. Nicholas in Weirton. 

On Sunday, July 14, after Divine Liturgy we had a prayer service for our local First Responders thanking them for all the work they do putting their lives on the line each day for the community. Following the service we had a meal and fellowship together. We thank the Weirton First Responders for all their dedicated efforts to protect our community.

On Sunday, March 17, 2019 a Zoie Stratton was baptized during the beautiful Baptismal Liturgy. May God grnat Zoie, her parents and godmother many blessed years!

Our first annual Blessing of the first Responders! Many blessings to all our firemen and police officers for putting their lives on the line every day for our community.

St. Nicholas hosted the Sunday of Orthodoxy Mission Vespers for the Ohio Valley. Thank you to everyone who came!

On Sunday, January 7th, local parishes in the Ohio Valley held the first Pan-Orthodox blessing of the Ohio River. Thank you to all our sister parishes that came!

Vigil lamps were donated for the iconostas by longtime parishioners, Helen Orenzuk and her brother Mike Volosin. Fr. Andrew blessed the new vigils before Divine Liturgy on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Thank you to Helen and Mike!

The baptism and chrismation of Juliana Nelko, daughter of priest, Fr. Andrew Nelko, and wife, Matushka Kaila. She is their first child!
